The upcoming GrindingHub in Stuttgart, from May 5 to 8, is fully booked across three halls, sending a clear signal in a challenging economic environment. A new forum and joint booths complement the trade show offerings

The German Group at the CNC Machine Tool Fair (CCMT) 2026, held from 21 to 25 April at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC), comprises around 140 exhibitors. With a net exhibition space of approximately 6,000 square meters in the fully booked venue, German companies once again represent the largest international exhibitor group.

The semiconductor market is booming. Microchips are not only essential for electric vehicles and charging stations. They also play an important role in solar and wind power plants and the entire spectrum of communications technology. With expected growth rates of over 30 per cent per year, this multi-billion dollar market offers interesting prospects for grinding technology.

After two years of noticeable reluctance to invest, the German machine tool industry is showing the first signs of stabilizing. Overall, however, incoming orders for 2025 remained slightly below that of the previous year.
