Around two weeks before the start of GrindingHub, the very last few square meters of exhibition space have now been allocated. From May 17 to 20, more than 370 exhibitors from 23 countries will be showcasing their products on almost 18,000 square meters of net exhibition space in three halls.

“Hello, new EMO Hannover!” is the greeting that was shared at the EMO Hannover Relaunch Conference in the hybrid event hub “H’UP” on the Hannover Messe trade fair grounds. As organizers of EMO Hannover, the German Machine Tool Builders’ Association (VDW) had invited international media representatives and EMO Hannover exhibitors to a digital presentation of the new exhibition concept on September 14 of this year.

GrindingHub, the new trade fair for grinding technology in Stuttgart, has passed a further milestone. "Barely two months after the registration documents were sent out, numerous market leaders have already signed up for GrindingHub. This means that Stuttgart is already set to become the heart of the grinding technology sector," said a delighted Dr Wilfried Schäfer, Executive Director of the organiser VDW (German Machine Tool Builders' Association), Frankfurt am Main.

GrindingHub, the first edition of the new trade fair and the center for grinding technology, will be held from 17 to 20 May 2022 in Stuttgart. It is scheduled to be run every two years by the VDW (German Machine Tool Builders' Association), Frankfurt am Main, in cooperation with Messe Stuttgart and the "Machine Tools and Manufacturing Technology" industry sector of Swissmem (Association of the Swiss Mechanical, Electrical and Metal Industries) as promotional supporter. "If anything good has come out of this difficult time, it is the stimulation of creativity," stated Dr Wilfried Schäfer, Executive Director of the VDW, (German Machine Tool Builders' Association) at the METAV 2020 reloaded Preview on 10 December 2020. The press conference was originally intended to pave the way for the METAV 2020 reloaded fair next March. But the trade fair has now been completely reinvented as "METAV digital". It will be held from 23 to 26 March 2021.

The launch of the METAV Web Sessions has been an all-round success. There was plenty of interesting content on a wide range of production-related topics and trends according to the motto “Let’s talk about innovation”. The first major virtual metalworking event of its kind was also a technical success, with few if any major hitches.
